The curriculum focuses on developing creativity, observational skills, artistic, and technical knowledge of photography concepts. Participants will be able to develop their skills and produce their own photographs through the use of composition, light, and color.
For level 1, a professional camera is not required. For Level 2, a professional camera is required. For Level 3, a laptop is required.
How it all started
For many years I have wanted to share the world of photography and finally got the opportunity in the Spring of 2024 when the church I attend reached out asking if I could lead a Summer class on photography and filmmaking. Stoked from that experience and receiving a calling from God leading me on the path of teaching, I decided to make a photography class for kids and God made a way.
That same Summer of 2024, I started my first ever photography course for kids at Arts of the Inland Gallery in LaBelle, Florida. Since then, I've been privileged enough to expand the course at various art centers and for adults, as well.
Our aim is to make this course available for all kinds of families, including homeschoolers. As of 2025, we are Step-Up Scholarship approved!
